Frank William Wood aka. Eagle Bill, who has passed away in 2005, was the inventor of one of the first vaporizers ever. His portable vaporizer pipe helped making vaporizers affordable and socially acceptable, especially for medical purposes!
Its principle is simple and works pretty much like a regular pipe, except that you have to put your herbs inside the bowl, below the screen, and heat the glass below your herbs with a torch lighter. When the vapor starts to rise, you have to shake the bowl gently to increase the vapor production. So basically, you can compare it best with the well known light bulb vaporizers.
Today, it’s by far the cheapest vaporizer on the market. However, I think, you’ll only get what you’re paying for, too. Imho, the Eagle Bill slowly belongs into a museum, since it’s far from being super efficent, compared to current standards. However, it’s fine to find out if vaping is something for you, generally, but if you want to become a regular vaporist, you will be better of with something a bit more pricey.
If you’re on a strictly limited budget I would rather stick to a vapor genie pipe or with the more advanced vaponic, which has brought the old principle by Eagle Bill to perfection. Imho, the little extra charge is absolutely worth it!
If you’re an unhappy Eagle Bill owner, I give you the advice not to give up on vaporizing so fast, the Eagle Bill vaporizer is not the end of the line, but only the beginning!
Anyway, R.I.P. Eagle Bill, we appreciate what you have done for us.
